what is “tatting”?
Tatting is lace making with a small shuttle that fits in your hand, basically creating patterns of knots.
how long does it take?
Judith can tatt a small, easier piece in about two hours. A complex design may take at least five hours.
Genaveve might spend anywhere from two hours to a day working out a design.
who is the oldest?
Genaveve by 13 months.
where do you sell your work?
We have just sold to friends and acquaintances. We hope to get our work into a specialty gift shop.
do you take custom orders?
No, we don’t take custom orders.
do you work every day?
Not everyday, no.
will you ship internationally?
Not at this time, but if you are interested and living abroad please reach out, so that we can consider this option in the future.
do you both like the same colors?
We each have favorites but we both agree on the colors of thread that we order.
do you teach?
Genaveve taught calligraphy for many years, but no longer does.
